I am searching for the ancestors of Obediah Chambers born about 1802 probably in Tyrrell Co., NC. He is listed in the 1830 & 1840 Tyrrell Co Census NC, listed in the 1850 Washington Co NC Census. He married Polly Belanga in 1844 Tyrrell Co.NC. Children listed in 1850 Census are Carolyn b1836, Hezekiah b1838, Obediah b1841, Mary b1845, Sarah b1848. I am also looking for possible other children of this family. Does anyone know if Benjamin Chambers b1825 is the son of Obediah? Benjamin was married to Joicey Furlough by 1850. They lived in Washington Co.,NC. He was in the Civil War. I would really appreciate help with this line. geniealice@aol.com
