Dear Doris,

Well this has been a busy for me I moved to day and am now in my new home.

Mrs. Balcom has just left and it is 9:20 p.m. so I just had to ? up this old pen and found some ink so I could write a few lines to my dear little wife.  I am just about all in as I had a party out Friday and Saturday, it rain and snowed saturday we got soaked just about the same as P.H. 7 Jack did and then we went to the hotel and got soaked inside I got home about 8 p.m. and got to bed at 11 p.m. up this morning at 5 a.m. and been going like H__ all day.  We torn the kennel down and got it partially up.

I have been moving my clothers this evening.

I have a sad thing to tell you I wold Tick today and another puppy.  The puppy I am to keep for a while until this man decides what he is going to do with it.

I felt bad to see her go but I sure do want to see you up here with me I am dam lonesome with out you.  I have your picture on the dresser where I can see you every time I come in the house.  So you see I have the gold that I am striving for in front of me so as i can not forget you.

Very glad that you told your mother and father about me and I am in hopes that some day that I may meet them.  If things do break right I may be down this winter for a visit.  So cheer up my dear keep up your courage as I am just living in hopes for you to make you happy.

How is Jack and Viv. getting along now I suppose just the same

There is no odor?

Remember me to them.

Will you try and send me some of the pictures that were taken up here as I surely would like very much to have one of my dear little wife in her hunting regalia as I felt pretty proud of her the morning we walked the streets of Gardiner together.

Haven't been down to see old Dell since we left but seen his wife today and she wants me to go down and see him as he feels pretty bad that I haven't been down so I guess I will have to drop in and see him as we maybe all be old and foolish some day.

Well I must say good night dear but I would much rather say it instead of writing it on paper.

Have a nice big room upstairs for company why not be the company for awhile.

With all my love,

Pete
