Dear Doris,

Here I am with the lady's pen and ink.  Received your two letters this a.m. and I was certaintly glad to get them.  The first letter I read was the rose letter so I will answer that first.

Now in regards to coming down there Thanksgiving I will try my best to come but can't honestly promise you just now as every thing is so unsettled now.  Mr. Balcom has just come in so will have to stop writing.

Back again 11 p.m. Gee it was great to hear your voice over the phone tonight was so pleased that Mr. Balcom notice it right off and he said he couldn't help interfering so I had been so cranky with him all day that he new that was some thing wrong with me.

Well I have a date with a party to morrow morning at 6:30 a.m. going to breakfast at the Worster Hotel at Hallowell you remember where I showed you the Sunday we were over there.  Have been there twice this past week so you see I have to get up rather early.  I am having a H__ of a job to get some body to help me put up my kennel as it is very hard to try and put it up alone.  But I think I will get it up this week all right.

Well my dear I will get back to try and answer your letters this is quite a nice place as much as I have seen haven't had time to look it over very close as I gold you before this time of year is very busy for me and I need some body to help me just now.  I will try and describe it later.

Was glad to hear your Mother's voice tonight sorry that she didn't stay on longer but how ever we may have a chance to meet some time.  I feel just so i would like to be right near you now my dear but it is getting late in the evening and I have to get up so early don't know wether I will sleep or not to night but I am going to try.  Gives me a great thrill tonight just to hear your voice once again.  Will try and answer your letters later.  So will sign off now my dear and will try and write you later but don't forget if you don't hear from me as often as you ought to just remember what i have said to you.  I will try my best to write as often as I can until I see you into my arms once again.

Good night dear good night as you no the rest.

When are you coming up?

With love

Pete
