Dear Doris,
You will find enclosed my marriage license you will have to fill it out and send it back to me as soon as possible so I can leave here by Tuesday a.m. I am sending it Special delivery so as you can fill it out and send it back just as soon as you can so I can have the town clerk sign it. He is starting the five days to day the 14th so it will be up the 19th that will be Monday and that is the day I wanted to leave here but will have to waite until Tuesday unless you get this back to me in time so as I can leave here Monday morning.
Am feeling somewhat better to day but didn't do much as it was very cold and we had about an inch of snow on the ground and bushes so rather than get wet again I took it easy to day. Tomorrow got a party on for the afternoon and that will wind up the season this year.
Sorry I let this license go so late. Read in the paper where you had quite a time in Abbington the 11th. But you was pretty tired after that session, very glad to hear the good news of you being early instead of late. Has Viv. said anything about getting my letter to you. Sorry to hear she acts the way she has but how ever cats are cats and dogs are dogs so cheer up my dear I will be seeing you soon.
I haven't said anything to any body up here about us getting married but old Spear has a strong suspicion as I said I was going to Mass. and would probably bring back a house keeper. So don't be surprised when you get up here if he makes any remarks.
Hope you had no trouble cashing the check.
If it is very cold I may come down in my heavy clothers as it is dam cold riding in the fliver. I think that is one reason i catch more col by changing my clothers and going over to that hotel for dinner nights.
So don't be surprised if you see me come with my hunting books and Mac coat on. Will bring my other clothers with me.
You want to dress real warm when we start back as I don't want you to freeze up coming home with me.
Well my dear must ring off now and don't forget to get this license back to me as soon as you can.
Good night dear X Good night XX
Love,
Pete
P.S. Hope you got your package of rings o.k.
