My Dear Sweet wife give us a Smacker.

Sorry to hear that your mother was not feeling well when you got home.  Hope she is much improved by now.  Tell her to be careful and not indulge to much on her birthday.  Was over to old lady Rices? Sunday p.m. and had some clams with them and believe me I don't care for any more for quite some time had to go to the toilet three times before breakfast and five before dinner they were some clams never got such a cleaning out in my life.  Seen the Tibbets Monday p.m. and they all wanted to know how you arrived with the cat.

Did you take the pickles home with you or did you leave them with the Balcoms.

I think Kent misses you to as he is on my heels every where I go yesterday I finished the wood pile and Herbert and I went down and got two more loads so as I can keep busy for awhile.  Francis said she called up Sunday to say good bye to you but no body answered so I guess we were at Spears then.

Here's to Ma Keene hope you are a lot better by now and be careful with your self as so you can come up here this summer it is a lot warmer this morning and very little wind so I am in hopes it will be a good day.  Wishing you a very happy birthday and that you will live to enjoy a great many more.

Here's to Pa Keene try and come up this summer we have a radio so you won't miss a ball game and you can hear Fred Hoye and his Kentucky winners just as good up here.  Take care of your self and come up.

Have set two places on the table the last two morning before I realized I was going to dine alone.

Kent and I get up to gether now he comes up and gets into bed about his usual time and then we get up about six o'clock for the day.

The young fellow from Augusta came over to see me Sunday p.m. and is going to try and do something next month, June.

Thursday night you can write to the ?  in Brocton tell them that I will plant the cucumbers this week and then they can all have a pickle.  Remember me to every body.

Love and kisses to you and mitzy,

Pete

p.s.  Just got your card.
