Dear Doris,
Sunday morning and it is raining like H___ a little to hard for one to go out in the woods with the dogs so I am taking this time to write to you and I am still thinking of you and I wished that it was possible for me to be closer to you than what I am.
I received your letter Saturday am. and I certainly enjoy a letter from you as it makes me feel great. I have seventeen dogs here now and I have got to move as they are complaining about the noise so I am going to look over a place this afternoon to see if I can rent it for awhile.
Then I will leave to make my kennels and live all alone. That is some break isn't it just at this time. Well how ever that is only one incident in a life time so if you don't hear from me more often you will know that I am busy as hell moving, will let you know all about it later.
These dogs are a great life if you can stand it. So you see what you are coming to if you like this dog.
Wished I could get a job down there this winter wouldn't it be great. You asked what color my eyes were and I don't really no only they call them brown.
Don't worry about me stepping out nights up here as there is no place to step out to and besides I am busy from daylight until dark and then some. So I don't get much time to step out or step in.
Would I be glad to see your folks up here next month well I should say I would I will find a camp for you also, that will be large enough for four if you really are coming. Let me know for sure as I will speak for it today.
Your friends must think there is something the matter with you not going out places with them. It gets to be our old story and you really don't enjoy a good time until you have been without one for a while. Then you sure do enjoy it most, that is the way I have found it, possibly I am all wet try it and let me know. I'll say you would look nice piloting a half wit around he probably would get cured after a while.
Would like very much to attend the Brocton? fair with you but it is out of the question at this time.
I may except your invitation to go dear hunting in the woods of Abington as I really believe there is one nice dear waiting for me there. There is nothing that I would like any better than go there and bring her back with me.
Well old dear I must close now as I have got to get busy as this is a serious undertaking for me. Never did live alone but have got to go through with these dogs for this season if I want to live this winter. So just keep this under your hat and say nothing for awhile and I will let you know how every thing is just as soon as possible. Write me just the same as I feel just the same toward you as I told you I did. Only for that, I would send all the dogs home and go on the road.
Living in hope that we may meet again soon and I shall keep your picture where I can see it every day. Will return the other two.
With all my love
Pete
