Dear Doris,
Received your letter this am and sure was glad to hear from you been raining like H__ since Sunday every thing flooded haven't been out with the dogs for two days hope it will clear off tonight as rainy days are very blue days up here no place to go to have a little fun to pass the time away only to sit around and try to write or read but can't seem to get interested in any thing. Been thinking of you all day and how I would like to drop in on you all to night and just about love you to death for a start and then leave a few sneezer's the way ?. Mixes them. Boy I can just about hold my myself from leaving right now for Abington. sorry to hear Viv. and Jack have their little spats but can't blame them as they say true love never runs smooth. Jack is without a doubt under a strain ? business is very dull in his life and that sometimes is enough to irritate any body. Sometimes I get very nervous and cranky the same as any body but get over it and feel very sorry for getting that way and try dam hard not to let breaks and hard luck discourage me. Just now I am trying to look on the sunny side of some thing that is very serious. If only I had some body that I could talk things over with sometimes I think I would be better off. But however I am here and you my dear there are a good many miles between us.
I have seen about a camp for you people but couldn't get the one I wanted but have got one that I think you will be all comfortable in. There is plenty of bed close, dishes, stove and will be plenty of wood two beds but only one big room. How will this strike you, all will be necessary is your food.
You can buy things up here or bring what you want with you. I may not be able to be with you the 1st-2nd of October but will the rest of the week. That is the way it looks right now. But it might change before then and I may be able to be with you all week. Will let you know by the 28th any way.
I'll say that is some song you sure will have to sing it to me. Now I must get off the air now as I am going down to Gardiner to a Redmans? meeting with a fellow that we are putting through to night. So be a good young one until we meet again. Remember me to all and try and take good care of your self until you have entirely recovered from your illness.
With lots of Love,
Pete
