Dear Doris,
Just put in a tough day. Had a lot of fun in doing it though I am pretty tired tonight. Am going to a banquet in a few minutes.
It is raining like H__ just now but in hopes it may stop before morning. Just had a few cocktails with the chief of this place. Wish you were going to be with me to night at the banquet.
I hope you will be up by Oct 3rd. All though I am going to be very busy in the day time but will be some comfort to be with you at night. Here is a knock so will have to cut this short. Let me know how Viv. and Jack are and tell Viv. to write me.
Will be looking forward in seeing you in the near future.
With love
Pete
