Left-Right: (1)Mary "Crysteen" Dillon married Claude Raper and later  Nick Poulas. Chris was born in Tyrrell County, Columbia, NC.(had step children of Nick Poulas. Lived in Elizabeth City as an adult. Claude had a plumbing business and  Nick and his family ran the Colonial Restaurant in Elizabeth City, NC.

"Chris" was Born: 10 June 1916 in Tyrrell County Died: 10 June 1991 in Norfolk, Virginia.

(2)Edia "Edith" Missouri TWIDDY Dillon and Montewill (Mountewill) Bowen Dillon had 7 children. "Edie" TWIDDY was born: 23 Nov. 1891 and Died: 29 Dec. 1980 the daughter of  ISAAC I. TWIDDY and Hester Elizabeth Hollis.

M.B. Dillon was born: 11 Sept. 1888 and Died: 19 July 1974..Montewill was a farmer. Edith and M.B. Dillon are buried in Albemarle Church of Christ Cemetery in Tyrrell County, NC.

(3)Thelma Inez Dillon was born in Tyrrell County, NC. 31 Aug. 1912 and Died: 9 Dec. 1988. Thelma married Shelton "Poss" Edward Bunch (b. 6 July 1916) from Elizabeth City, NC. He and his family owned and operated Carolina Furniture Company in Elizabeth City, NC. Thelma worked at the hosiery mill and later in a grocery store on Parsonage Street in E.City, NC.They had one son (deceased) and three daughters: Cynda & Bonnie live in  Elizabeth City, NC. and Carolyn living in Florida.

The names of the remaining children of Edith M. TWIDDY Dillon and M.B. Dillon are as follows: Edward Lee Dillon, Gladys Mae Dillon DuBois, Alma Edith Dillon Ralph, Virginia Dare Dillon Sims and Doris Marie Dillon Montervino,Phillips,Hancock. My mother Alma Edith Dillon Ralph is the only surviving sibling as of Feb. 2, 2004.

 

I have been told my great-granddaddy Isaac I. TWIDDY was married THREE times. There seems to be some confusion concerning naming all three wives. My grandmaw Dillon (Edie TWIDDY Dillon)told me her mother

is named " Liz" Hester "Elizabeth" Hollis  and her father is  Isaac  I. Twiddy. I believe another wife of Isaac was Elizabeth R."Betsy" Duval. I don't have a clue who was Isaac I. Twiddy's first wife but I do know  my grandmother "Edie" Edith Missouri Twiddy Dillon SAID her mother, Hester Elizabeth "Liz" HOLLIS was Isaac's last wife.
