Emins

Emims are giants like the Anakims referenced in the Bible.
"The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and
tall, as the Anakims";Bible

Adora
|
|
Adroa is a god of the Lugbara
people of central Africa. Adroa has two
aspects: one good and one evil. He is the creator of Heaven and Earth, and he
appears to those about to die. Adroa is depicted as a tall, white man with only
half a body – one eye, one arm, one leg, one ear. |

Tall
Blacks
|
The Tall Blacks is the nickname of New Zealand's national men's basketball team. The name was chosen as it reminds
people of New Zealand's Rugby
Union team, the All
Blacks. For sponsorship reasons, they are often referred to in New Zealand
media as the Burger King
Tall Blacks.
The Tall Blacks competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and finished with a
1-5 record, their only win coming against Angola in the playoff for eleventh.
In 2001 they defeated Australia
in a three-game series to qualify for the 2002 FIBA World Championships in
Indianapolis. At the tournament they finished fourth, after beating Puerto Rico in the
quarter-finals before losses to Yugoslavia and Germany. Tall Blacks captain Pero Cameron was the only non-NBA player named to
the all-tournament team in Indianapolis.
The Tall Blacks qualified for the 2004 Athens Olympics but again finished
with a 1-5 record and lost to Australia in the playoff for ninth place. Their
most noted moment was on the 7th day of the games, when they beat Serbia and
Montenegro (the world champions) 90:87.
Probably the most well-known New Zealand player in the National Basketball Association
is San Antonio
Spurs forward Sean Marks,
who is in his fifth NBA season. Another New Zealand player, former University
of Wisconsin star Kirk
Penney, signed in 2005 with two-time
defending Euroleague champions
Maccabi Tel Aviv. |

Today's
Tip
For
those of you with really long legs,
try sewing a strip of fabric of your choice
to the botton of the pant legs. It
also works for skirts. One
way to do skirts is to sew a double row
of wide lace or stip of fabric to
the hem. (If you can not sew,
find someone who does.)

Tall Girl
Fashion Tips
|
|
|
- If you are
thin, use a different color for your tops and
bottoms. Example: Wear a red blouse
and a black skirt.
- Avoid wearing
ankle length skirts. They make you look
taller. Ditto for very, very short skirts.
- Wide belts
also tend to create the vertical line, shortening
your appearance.
- If you are
thin, wearing vertical lines make you look taller.
- Avoid short
skirts unless combined with knee-high
boots.
- If you are
short waisted, wear a long top and short skirt.
- If you are
long waisted, wear a short top with long bottoms.
- To make the
neck appear longer, wear v-neck tops.
- Boatnecks minimize waists and hips
and will maximize sexy shoulders.
- Wear bright
clothing on your best features. The attention
will concentrate on these features.
- If you are wearing a white shirt, always
wear a bra close to your skin color
- Always wear clothes that fit you.. Clothes that are too small
can never look good.
- If you are wearing tight pants or shorts then wear a thong
or no panties.
Panty lines are a no-no..
- Wear a bra
that fits. Most women are not wearing
the right size. Experiment with different
sizes before buying.
- Never wear white socks.
- If your hips are larger than
your shoulders, wear an A-line dress or skirt,
wear shoulder pads to even out your silhouette.
- If you use
heavy makeup on your eyes, wear a neutral color
on your lips. If you use bright color
lipstick, do not wear heavy makeup on your eyes.
- If you have
lots of wrinkles/sun-damaged skin, do not wear
your hair tightly curled. Wear a straight
hairdo.
- If your wear
a denim jean top, do not wear a denim bottom.
Too much denim just does not work.
- If you are overweight, never
wear a pattern in your clothes, no big flowers,
stripes, etc. They make you look larger.
Stick to solid colors.
- If you have large feet, wear
dark color shoes. Never wear white shoes.
- Avoid short haircuts. They
make you look taller and masculine. Shoulder
length hair or longer flatters you most.
- Use two shades of makeup,
one darker than the other. Use the
darker shade on areas of the face you want to
draw attention away from. Example: if
you have a large nose, put the darker shade
on it. Do not forget to blend, blend the
shades at the edges between the light and the
dark.
- Be sure that your eyebrows
flatter your face shape. Experiment with
your eyebrow pencil making various shapes, etc.
before you pull out your eyebrow hair. Study
the shapes of celebs' eyebrows to find the right
shape for you. Where possible, consult
a makeup expert.
- Stay out of the sun.
- Cropped pants can make you look shorter.
- Nail polish will stain your
finger nails. Always use a base coat under
color on nails. Wear neutral shades for
work.
- Avoid sexy clothing for the work place.
Save your short, short skirts and mile
high heels for other occasions. No plunging
necklines. It is a distraction for other
people. The workplace is for work, nothing
more. Dress modestly and be taken seriously.
- Avoid perfume at work.
- If you have thin hair, select
a style where the hair is all one length. It
makes the hair look thicker. Do not have
it cut in layers.
- Oversize handbags are the best selection.
Avoid small bags with vertical lines. Some
clutches work well also.
- A high collars shortens long necks.
- A short necklace makes your
neck look shorter.
