Williamson  Wynne

Williamson Wynn was born in Pendleton Districk in South Carolina, Major
Joshua Wynne
was his father and Elizabeth Appling was his mother.  
Williamson
fought in the American Revolution of 1777-1778 with the rank
of private serving in Captain Dixon's Company, 1st Regiment, NC.  In
addition, he served as a private in Captain Jacob Welch's Company, 4th
NC Regiment from Chowan County, NC, during the war of 1812.  First
he lived in North Carolina, then Georgia and then moved to Greene County,
Alabama, where he died in 1829 and was buried.   He was survived by his
widow, Eleanor Magruder Wynne and five children,  Osmond, Erasmus,
Williamson, Robert and Salina Ann.
